Dan was born in Lapeer, on January 4, 1971, the son of Mr. and Mrs. James and Mary Ann (Romine) Story. Dan met and married the love of his life, Jennifer Metzger, on March 24, 2012, at the Vassar Victory Center. Dan worked as a painter for Albar Industries for 26 years. He loved camping at Westland Woods in Vassar, and fishing anywhere there was water. Dan had a special bond with his beloved dog Oliver. Dan spent every Sunday going to church and loved reading his Bible. Spending time with his family was his favorite pastime. Dan was a very generous man who always put others before himself. He never said he had stepchildren; they were all just his children. He was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather and he loved playing with his grandchildren. Dan was loved by all who knew him. In his free time, he enjoyed tinkering in the garage and watching cartoons with his grandchildren.
