Obituary of Thomas Alan Lefler

Of Dearborn Heights, age 49, died Tuesday, February 5, 2008 at his residence. The funeral service will take place 2:00pm, Sunday, February 10, 2008 at the Miles Martin Funeral Home in Mt. Morris. Pastor Kevin Kuehne will officiate with cremation to follow at Sunset Hills Cemetery. Family will greet friends from 11:00am to 8:00pm on Saturday, February 9, 2008. Thomas was born January 29, 1959 in Flint, Michigan, the oldest child of Mr. and Mrs. Arnold and Judith (Edenburn) Lefler. He and Rebecca Oakes were united in marriage on December 19,1981 in Flint, Michigan. Thomas was working on a Business Administration Degree at Mott College. He gave many years of service at Heartland Health Care Center-University and Four Chaplains Nursing Home. He enjoyed golfing, hunting, water and snow skiing, motorcycles, basketball, vehicle restoration, movies, music, home repairs, and his special cat: Tess. Thomas is survived by parents: Arnold Richard Lefler and Judith E. (Edenburn) Lefler, of Lake George, Michigan; one son: Nicholas Matthew Lefler and one daughter:Alaina Rae Lefler from previous marriage to Becky Oakes; one brother: A.Todd (Eva) Lefler; three sisters: Robin (Jerry)Forgie, Tammy(Elliott)Lefler, and Shawn(Donald)Hough; Many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and special girlfriend: Cindy Lord.
