Obituary of Timothy Ray Burt

Of Mt. Morris, age 49, died Thursday, December 26, 2013. The funeral service will take place at 1:00 pm, Tuesday, December 31, 2013, at the North End Baptist Church in Mount Morris. Rev. Ted Jay Stephens will officiate with cremation to follow. Tim's family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm, then from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm. On Tuesday, Tim will be taken to the church to lie in state from 11:00 am until time of service at 1:00 pm. Those desiring may consider memorial contributions to Carriage Town Ministries P.O. Box 318 Flint, Michigan, 48501-0318. Envelopes are available at the funeral home and church. Tim was born August 23, 1964, in Flint, Michigan, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Roy and Dorothy (Brock) Burt. He graduated from Elisabeth Ann Johnson High School in Mt. Morris, Class of 1982. Tim worked for Kmart for 28 years. He was a long time member of the North End Baptist Church, Sunday School Teacher and Disciple Training Class Teacher. He enjoyed working on computers, reading, watching movies and listening to music. Left to cherish his memory, brother, Robert Burt; sister-in-law, Sharon Burt; three aunts, Audrey Peache, Gloria Roy and Sharon Brock; and many other family members, church friends and many friends from Kmart. Tim was preceded in death by his parents, brother Ron.
