Obituary of Ruthalee Keller

Of Millington, age 91 died Wednesday March 5, 2008 at her residence. Ruthalee was born July 22, 1916 in Ortonville, Michigan the daughter of Fredrick and Clara (Woodruff) Darling. She worked for AubreyAaas as a machine operator for 10 years and was a member of the St. LukeAaas Lutheran Church of Vassar. Ruthalee was an avid gardener and loved to crochet; all of her grandchildren received an afghan as a wedding gift and she made a quilt and sweater set for each of her grandchildren when they were born. Surviving are two sons; Gerald (Carol) Ridley of Milwaukee,WI, Thomas (Bonnie) Ridley of Vassar, three daughters; Gloria Kirchner of Belvidere, IL, Sandra (Eugene) Stockero of Belvidere, IL, Gail (Kienitz) Jackson of Vassar, MI, two stepsons; Gary (Brenda) Keller of Vassar, MI, James Keller of Clifford, MI; thirty-four grandchildren; several great grandchildren; sister Lillian Ridley of Coldwater, FL; and step daughter-in-law Millie Keller of Bridgeport, NJ. Ruthalee was preceded in death by her parents, husbands Ralph Ridley in 1967 and Joseph Keller in 1991, seven brothers, five sisters, grandson Mike Kirchner, son-in-law James Kirchner, Sr., and stepson Richard Keller. The family would like to thank Ray of Hope and VNA Hospice with a special thank you to Chris Fenton. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Monday March 10, 2008 at St. LukeAaas Lutheran Church with Reverend James Plocher officiating. Family will receive friends Sunday from 2:00 pm to 8:00pm at the Martin Funeral Home in Vassar and at the church on Monday from 10:00 am until time of funeral service at 11:00 am. Burial will be in Pinegrove Cemetery.
