I remember a man who was a mentor to all of the kids he would gladly associate with. Mr. LaFreniere taught me many things but one that has lasted a lifetime. As a young kid he taught me the meaning and importance of a smile and a firm handshake. He would always check my strength in that handshake and explained that it would open many doors and friendships to follow. Mr. LaFreniere would go out of his way to toss a football around with us, take us places, and see that we were brought up with strong moral values. He prayed with us kids in Church, and taught us to respect and notice our elders. He believed in families that did things together, the importance of being a kid, and getting the most out of life.\
He will truly be missed, but memories of him will last forever.
