Obituary of L. B. Willingham

Of Mt. Morris, age 97, departed this life Friday, March 14, 2008 at his residence. The funeral service will take place at 11:00am on Wednesday, March 19, 2008 at the Miles Martin Funeral Home in Mt. Morris. Pastor Eldon Busenitz will officiate with burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park. L.B.Aaas family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 4:30 until 8:00pm, Tuesday from 9:00am until 9:00pm and again on Wednesday from 9:00am until the time of service at 11:00am. Those desiring may direct memorial contributions to a charity of the donorAaas choice. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. L.B. was born April 29, 1910 in Corinth, Mississippi, the son of Mr. and Mrs. George and Seeley (Crum) Willingham. He and Hester May Eaton were united in marriage on September 24, 1928. Together they shared over 71 years of loving marriage. Left to cherish L.B.'s memory are his children, Marshall and wife Mary Jane Willingham, Freemon and wife Joan Willingham, Willodean Duguay, Betty and husband Charles Parra, Elaine Willingham, James Willingham; 24 grandchildren; 38 great-granchildren; 20 great-great grandchildren and two sisters, Carrie Witt and Marie and husband Freddy Vincent. L.B. was preceded in death by his loving wife, Hester; one grandson, Michael L. Parra; son-in-law, Bill Duguay; three brothers and three sisters.
