Obituary of Betty Lou Beckley

Of Lapeer, age 77, died Monday, March 31, 2008 at Maple Woods Manor. The funeral service will take place at 1:00pm, Friday, April 4, 2008 at the Miles Martin Funeral Home in Mt. Morris. Pastor Bob Taylor will officiate with burial to follow in Mt. Morris Cemetery. Betty's family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 6:00pm until 9:00pm, Thursday from 11:00 until 2:00pm and 4:00pm until 9:00pm and again on Friday from 12:00 noon until the time of service at 1:00pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the American Diabetes Association or the American Heart Association. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
Betty was born October 12, 1930 in Mt. Morris, Michigan the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George and Rhea (Serven) Goodman. She and Russell I. Beckley were united in marriage September 21, 1946.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Russell "Gary" (Judy) Beckley, Gregory (Maria) Beckley and Paula (Richard) Maddock; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; brother, Richard Goodman; special friend, Wanita Ringstaff
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, loving husband, Russell; grandson, Chris Beckley; two brothers and three sisters.
