RICHARD F. MATTESON, JR.
Of Gladwin, age 56, died Saturday, April 26, 2008 at Bay Regional Medical Center. The funeral service will take place 10:30 AM, Wednesday, April 30, 2008 at the Miles Martin Funeral Home in Mt. Morris with burial to follow in Thetford Township Cemetery. Family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home 5-9pm Tuesday and on Wednesday from 9am until time of service at 10:30 am. Those desiring, may direct memorial contributions to the American Heart Association. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
Richard was born August 10, 1951 in Flint, Michigan the son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard and Verna (Hetzer) Matteson, Sr. He and Gail Diane Batten were united in marriage March 10, 1970 in Mt. Morris. Richard worked for 17 years at Fisher Body as absentee replacement man. He was a Fireman and First Responder for 17 years at Clement Township.
Richard enjoyed Hunting, fishing, auto racing and spending time with his grandchildren.
Surviving are his wife Diane Matteson of Gladwin, Michigan;
Daughter, Angelia Matteson of Gladwin;
Son, Douglas Matteson of Gladwin;
Grandchildren Diane Lynn, Jesse and Faith;
Brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents
