Obituary of Ruth M. Crosby

Age 94, died Saturday, April 26, 2008 at her residence. Ruth was born on June 30, 1913 in Gilford, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur and Pearl (Streeter) Spencer. Ruth was united in marriage to Clare Houghtaling, who preceded her in death in 1936 and also to Robert Crosby who preceded her in death in 1990.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Betty Ruth (Milton) Downing and John (Dixie) Crosby; grandchildren, Michael (Char) Downing, Robert Crosby, David (Robie), James Clark, Kelly (Ken) Innes, Kimberly Clark, Dawn (Scott) Woidan, Shelly (David) Bartnik, Renee Crosby and John Crosby. Ruth is also survived by many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Besides her husbands, Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, many brothers and sisters, daughter Patsy Rienstra and two grandsons, Gary and Jerry Downing.
Funeral service will take place 11:00am, Tuesday, April 29, 2008 at the Martin Funeral Home in Fairgrove. Cremation will follow. RuthAaas family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 12:00 noon until 9:00pm and again on Tuesday morning from 10:00am until the time of service at 11:00am.
