Of Flint, age 89, died Sunday, April 27, 2008 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00am, Thursday, May 1, 2008 at St. MaryAaas Catholic Church in Flint. Rev. Fr. Santhiyagu Arockiyasaamy will officiate with cremation to follow. MiltAaas family will be present to receive friends at the Miles Martin Funeral Home in Mt. Morris on Wednesday from 1:00pm until 8:00pm. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00pm. On Thursday, Milt will be taken to church to lie in state from 10:00am until the time of Mass at 11:00am. Those desiring may direct memorial contributions to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Envelopes are available at the funeral home and church.
Milt was born in Wyandotte on October 28, 1918, the son of the late Eli and Eva (Sterling) Trombley. He married Margie Welter on April 11, 1944. Milt attended St. MaryAaas School in Flint and served in the U.S. Army from 1941-1945. Milt was employed at Buick Motor Division for 37 years, retiring in 1975. He was a member of St. MaryAaas Catholic Church in Flint. Milt served as: President of Homedale Elementary PTA, President of Wolf Lake LandownerAaas Association, Leader of Flint Eastside Boy Scouts and leader of many activities at RamblersAaa Rest Resort in Venice, FL.
Surviving are his wife, Margie, daughter, Marianna Hurley of Genesee, sons; Don (Janie) of Pensacola, FL, Gary of Flint, Patric of Flint and Kevin (Lisa) of Vienna, VA; daughter, Janice (Stephen) Halleck of Flint. Milt is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, along with his sister, Thelma (Dallas) Breakiron; brothers, Robert (Cecelia) Trombley and Elmer Trombley.
Milt was preceded in death by his brother, Hale and grandson, Timothy.
