Chris and I are so sorry to hear of your Dad's passing. Growing up as neighbors and best buddies, I remember so many times we'd come in from riding motorcycles. Your Mom would pour us some sweet tea, and we'd visit in the living room with your Dad. He always took an interest in what was going on and how life was treating us. If supper was ready, an invitation to stay and eat wasn't offered... you were EXPECTED to pull up a chair. In the summer and fall, we'd drive up from the woods. As the trail would open up, there'd be your Dad, bent over with hoe-in-hand, wearing a straw hat, tending to his huge, awsome garden. The man loved to visit, but obviously had a strong work ethic. \
Your place was like my second home. Before I ever traveled "Down South", I learned first hand from your parents what "Southern Hospitality" was all about. I'm sure your Dad will be missed by everyone, every bit as much as your Mom has been.\
\
Please accept are Condolences, and feel free to give us a shout.\

Uncle Wilburn will be missed by all who knew him...I don't believe any one who was blessed enough to have known him could say they didn't like him. I for one adored him, I can remember when I was little, always sitting on his lap listening to him tell countless stories of his life. I loved his stories as I'm sure many did. Uncle Wilburn was a great man and his family was honored to have him with them all these years. I find comfort knowing that he is with Aunt Ginny, my Grandpa, his parents, several brothers and sisters and my Aunt. I hope he never stops telling his stories...I see him sitting in a rocking reclining chair with a child taken far too soon on his lap listening attentively to one of his many memories...He will always hold a place in my heart and he will never be forgotten.
