Obituary of Ernest Edwin Isaacson

Of Flint, age 73, died Friday, June 20, 2008 at Genesys Regional Medical Center. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00am, Wednesday, June 25, 2008 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Flint. Rev. Fr. Paul Schwermer will officiate with burial to follow in Tanner Cemetery. ErnestAaas family will be present to receive friends at the Miles Martin Funeral Home in Mt. Morris on Tuesday from 1:00pm until 9:00pm. On Tuesday evening, family, friends and parish will gather at the funeral home at 5:00pm to pray the Rosary. On Wednesday morning, Ernest will be taken to church to lie in state from 10:00am until the time of Mass at 11:00am. Those desiring, may direct memorial contributions to Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Envelopes are available at the funeral home and church. Ernest was born February 3, 1935 in Flint, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Sr. and Ann (Elford) Isaacson He and Irene Blanchette were united in marriage on February 2, 1957 in Flint. Ernest worked at A.C. Spark Plug for over 43 years as a shipping and maintenance truck driver. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of over 51 years, Irene; children, Carol (Ed) Crane, Doreen (Nick) Blosser and Ernest Isaacson III; daughter-in-law, Jamie Isaacson; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; siblings; Robert (Marion) Isaacson, Shirley (Louis) Bermudez, Ronald (Mary Ann) Isaacson and Yvonne Marshall. Ernest is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and friends. Ernest was preceded in death by his parents; son, Rick and brother, Harold.
