Of Mt. Morris, age 67, died Wednesday, July 23, 2008 at his residence. The funeral service will take place 11:00am, Tuesday, July 29, 2008 at the Miles Martin Funeral Home in Mt. Morris. Entombment will follow in Flint Memorial Park. Don's family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday and Monday from 6:00pm until 8:00pm and again on Tuesday from 10:00am until the time of service at 11:00am. Those desiring may direct memorial contributions to the Family.
Don was born January 13, 1941 in Trenton, Missouri the son of Denny and Bessie Ireland. He and Florence Brackett were united in marriage in the mid 1960Aaas. Don was a very loving and caring man who was always there for everyone. Don was very passionate about computers and ham radios.
Don leaves to cherish his memory his loving daughter; Shawn, sisters; Patricia (Daryl) Rodabaugh; sister-in-laws, Cathy Ireland and Darlene Hurley; brother-in-law, Howard (Rose) Brackett and special friend, Rose Mary (Charles) Beckman. Don is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Florence.
