Obituary of Garth V. Stinchcombe

Of Lapeer, age 61, died Monday, August 4, 2008 at BrianAaas House Hospice. The funeral service will take place 1:00 pm, Friday, August 8, 2008 at the Miles Martin Funeral Home in Mount Morris. Pastor David Burkett will officiate with burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park. GarthAaas family will be present at the funeral home to receive friends on Thursday from 11:00am until 7:00pm and Friday from 11:00am until the time of service at 1:00pm. Those desiring may direct memorial contributions to Brian's House in Davison. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Garth was born March 21, 1947 in Flint, Michigan the son of Mr. and Mrs. Victor and Dorothy Stinchcombe. After graduating from Genesee High School, Garth would go on to join the US Army where he served during the Korean Conflict. In 1997, he retired from GM having worked as a Die Maker for 28 years. Garth was a member of UAW Local #651 and enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing and spending time at AaA"The Shack.AaA Left to cherish his memory are his daughter; Michelle and husband Dan Phelps of Genesee, grandson, Dylan Phelps of Genesee, uncle, James Stinchcombe of Florida, several cousins, and many wonderful and supportive friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Victor and Dorothy Stinchcombe.
