Obituary of Helene Jean Botkins

Of Fairgrove, age 93, died peacefully Saturday, August 23, 2008 atTuscola County Medical Care Facility. Helene was born May 27, 1915 in Hamtramck, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael and Angeline (Malupolski) Dudek. She and Joseph M. Botkins were united in marriage on May 16, 1940 in Caro. He preceded her in death November 1, 1972. Helene worked for Adams and Son Grocery Store and was a dedicated member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Caro. Helene leaves to cherish her memory her loving children; Ken (Pat) Botkins, Lorraine (Michael) OAaaShea, Char (Michael) Downing and C.J. (Carol) Botkins; eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; sisters, Emily Czelada, Irene Aymer and Delores Kipfmiller. Besides her husband, Helene was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and one sister. The Funeral Liturgy will take place 11:00am Wednesday, August 27, 2008 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Caro. Rev. Fr. Dennis Kucharczyk will officiate with the Rite of Committal to follow in Demorest Township Cemetery in Akron. HeleneAaas family will be present to receive friends at the Martin Funeral Home Aa" Fairgrove on Tuesday from 2:00pm until 8:00pm with the rosary being prayed at 7:00pm. On Wednesday morning, Helene will be taken to church to lie in state from 10:00am until the time of Mass at 11:00am. Those desiring, may direct memorial contributions to the Fairgrove Library, Sacred Heart Catholic Church or the Tuscola County Medical Care Facility. Envelopes are available at the funeral home and church. HeleneAaas children would like to extend a special heartfelt thanks to the wonderful staff on the 2nd Floor, Hickory Lane at Tuscola County Medical Care Facility for the loving care shown to their mother.
