So sorry to read of Ray's death. I first became acquainted with Ray after I married my husband Bob. Ray used to be the park director at the old McKinley park in the south-side of Flint, I think he was still in college at the time. My husband will tell you if it was not for Ray a lot of those boy's from the old neighborhood could have gone the wrong direction in life. He kept them pretty busy with camping trips and lots of things to do. They still kept in touch for many years afterward would just show up at our door to visit. Some times he would bring Maxine lovely lady. Oh how he could make us laugh when he told some of his life stories. He should have written a book. As happens with life we moved on and lost touch. We just wanted to share with you part of our experiences with Ray. May he rest in peace.
