Obituary of Margaret Beck

Of Jackson, formerly of Mt. Morris, age 87, died Saturday, September 6, 2008 at home. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place 11:00am, Thursday, September 11, 2008 at the St. Mary Catholic Church in Mt. Morris. Rev. Fr. Thomas Nenneau will officiate with burial to follow in Calvary Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the Miles Martin Funeral Home on Wednesday from 2:00pm to 7:00pm, on Thursday; Margaret will be taken to church where she will lie in state from 10:00am until time of service at 11:00am. On Wednesday evening, family and friends will gather at the funeral home to pray the Rosary at 6:00pm. Memorial contributions may be made to the Arthiritus Foundation; envelopes are available at the funeral home and church. Margaret was born January 19, 1921 in Birch Run, Michigan, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael and Mary (O'Leary) Burns. She and Robert Beck were united in marriage February 27, 1943 in Los Angeles, California. Margaret leaves to cherish her memory her husband of 65 years Bob, five children: Suzanne and husband Keith Nieberding, Carl Beck, Mary Beck, Michael and wife Diana Beck, and Daniel and wife Sheila Beck, 14 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, sister Helen and husband Fred Globig, special friends Marge and Les Cavell, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, and one brother.
