Obituary of Eunice Bernice Smith

Eunice B. SMITH Of Mt. Morris, age 79, passed away Wednesday, September 10, 2008 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. The funeral service will take place 11:00am, Saturday, September 13, 2008 at the Miles Martin Funeral Home in Mt. Morris. Paul and Carol Ross will officiate with burial to follow in West Vienna Township Cemetery. EuniceAaas family will be present at the funeral home to receive friends on Friday from 10:00am to 8:00pm and Saturday morning from 10:00am until the time of service at 11:00am. Those desiring may direct memorial contributions to the Clio Community of Christ Memorial Fund. Envelopes are available at the funeral home and church. Eunice was born August 21, 1929 in Flint, the daughter of Mervyn and Irma (Danks) Pushman. She and William I. Smith were united in marriage October 22, 1950 in Clio. In addition to being a loving wife and mother, Eunice actively volunteered with hospice, girl scouts, brownies, the 4-H, Bible School, Sunday School and Camp Quality for terminally ill children. Eunice is survived by her husband of 57 years, William I. Smith of Mt. Morris, six children; William E. (Debbie) Smith, Douglas A. (Sharon) Smith, Marilyn ( Mitch) Carpowich, Cathy (Jerry)Seeley, David (Nanette) Smith and Merrilee (Jay) Miller, 13 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, two brothers, two sisters, an uncle and many other close family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Irma and Mervyn Pushman.
