Obituary of Barbara Ann Henry

HENRY, Barbara Ann Age 64, of Mt. Morris, loving Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt and dear Friend, passed away Friday, September 12, 2008 at home. The funeral service will take place 1:00pm, Monday, September 15, 2008 at the Miles Martin Funeral Home. Pastor Robert Leming will officiate with burial to follow in Montrose Township Cemetery. BarbaraAaas family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 5:00pm until 9:00pm and again on Monday from 12:00 noon until the time of service at 1:00pm. Barbara was born in Flint, the daughter of the late Ruth L. McCullough. She graduated from Clio High School in 1962. Barbara lived most of her life in Montrose, raising three children. She later retired with 30 years of service from General Motors in 1992. Barbara enjoyed cooking, shopping and spending time with her grandchildren and family. Surviving are her children; Lisa Shmidt of Mt. Morris, Daniel (Michelle) Shmidt of Montrose, Jodi (Sean) Matte of Bellevue, Michigan; four grandchildren, Julia, Dylan, Cole and Nolan and loving sister, Pauline Carter. Barbara is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her youngest son, Christopher Raymond; mother, Ruth McCullough and brother, Michael J. Henry. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Mandy Wirsing, her visiting nurse and the staff at STAT EMS.
