Obituary of Zona L. Luther

Of Mt. Morris, age 54, died Sunday, September 21, 2008 at Genesys Regional Medical Center. The funeral service will take place 2:00pm, Tuesday, September 23, 2008 at the Martin Funeral Home in Mt. Morris. Burial will follow in Thetford Township Cemetery. ZonaAaas family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 5:00pm to 8:00pm and Tuesday morning from 11:00am until the time of service at 2:00pm. Those desiring may direct memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Zona was born September 21, 1954 in Flint, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles and Ella (Miller) Berry. She and Michael Luther were united in marriage in July of 1977. He preceded her in death October 29, 2007. Zona worked at McDonaldAaas in Mt. Morris for several years and subsequently worked as a CNA at the Clio Convalescent Center. She was currently a member of the Mt. Morris Christian Faith Church. Zona was an enthusiastic gardener and enjoyed tending to her plant, flower and vegetable gardens. She also enjoyed canning and raising her boys. Left to cherish her memory are her three sons; Jamie (Buddy) Berry, Dennis Luther and West and wife Lori Luther, two grandsons; Michael AaA"DoodleAaA and Austin, stepfather, Jim Miller, two sisters; DeEtta Pletchear and Letha and husband Bill Battles, four brothers: Jake Berry, Doran and wife Gale Berry, Conrad Berry and Bobby and wife Armella Berry, aunt, Evelyn and husband Al Dowd and many neices, nephews, cousins and friends. Zona was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Michael.
