Of Mt. Morris, age 83, died Saturday, September 27, 2008 at home. The funeral service will take place 2:00pm, Wednesday, October 1, 2008 at the Miles Martin Funeral Home in Mt. Morris. Burial will follow in Flint Memorial Park. GeorgeAaas family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5:00pm until 8:00pm and again on Wednesday from 12:00noon until the time of service at 2:00pm. Those desiring, may direct memorial contributions to the Genesee County Humane Society. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
George was born September 22, 1925 in New York City, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward and Augusta (Schlobohm) Miller. George was a proud WWII Veteran, who was one of the few survivors on the U.S.S. Franklin. He later owned and operated Cherven Lanes in Roscommon.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughter; Jacqueline and husband, David; grandchildren, Jennifer (Bob), Laura (Maurice); great-grandchildren, Samantha, Danielle, Lindsay, Zachary, Corey and Makenzie; great-great grandson, Carson and two nieces and one nephew.
George was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Dorothy and sister, Dorothea (Charlie) Campbell.
