Eleanor A. Freeland
1919-2008
Age 89 of Vassar died Tuesday, November 18, 2008 at her home. Eleanor was born September 2, 1919 in Mayville the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edwin and Viola (Clark) Jewell. She met and married Walter Pasch. He preceded her in death. She then met and married Ward Freeland. He also preceded her in death. Eleanor operated a Beauty Salon in her home for 45 years. Eleanor leaves to cherish her memory: grandson; Gregory and wife Vonda Holzhei of New Baltimore, granddaughter; Susan Marie and husband Jason Vinkemulder of White Lake, grandson; Marty and wife Ann Zwerk of Vassar, many close nieces; Joyce Bickel, Kay Hemmingway, Greta Opperman and nephew Edwin Jewell. Stepchildren: Deloris Feigley of Milford, Louann Evans of Manhattan Beach California and Dr. Ted Freeland of Gaylord. Funeral Service will be on Saturday, November 22, 2008 at the Martin Funeral Home in Vassar at 10:00am. With burial to follow at Eastlawn Cemetery. EleanorAaas family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 10:00am until 8:00pm.Memorial donations may be directed to First United Methodist Church in Vassar, envelopes are available at the funeral home. Friends may share memories, prayers, and stories at the funeral home.
