Obituary of William Hugh Crawford

William Hugh Crawford, age 78, of Flint, died Thursday, January 5, 2017. The funeral service will take place at 1:00 pm, Tuesday, January 10, 2017, at the Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris. Dale Roe will officiate with burial to follow in Great Lakes National Cemetery with Military Honors. William’s family will be present at the funeral home to receive friends on Tuesday from 11:00 am until time of service at 1:00 pm. Memorial Contributions may be directed to the family. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. William was born March 2, 1938, in Stalwart, MI, to the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert and Margaret (McLeod) Crawford. William and Alice Pyne were united in marriage on February 6, 1965 in Flint, MI. He served in the United States Army from 1961 to 1964.He worked on the assembly line for General Motors for 31 years. William was a long-time member of UAW Local #599 and Auto City Eagles #3485. He was a devoted father and grandfather. In his free time, William enjoyed hunting and fishing, playing the lottery and going to the casino, and his love for food. Left to cherish his memory: wife, Alice Crawford; three children, Kimberly Richardson, Albert (Nicole) Crawford, and Jennifer (John) Crandon; seven grandchildren: Gregory Jr., Jesse, Brandy, Mariah, Beth, Ciara, and Amber; four great-grandchildren: Alexis, Matthew, Austyn, and Lilyana; two sisters: Jane and Beverly; and many nieces and nephews. William was preceded in death by his parents, brothers and sisters, Thomas, Albert, Gail, Donna, and son-in-law, Greg Richardson Sr.
