Obituary of Gay Ann Foster

Age 59, of Clio, died Monday, December 12, 2016, at her home. A funeral service will take place at Martin Funeral, Cremation, and Tribute Services-Mt. Morris, on Saturday, December 17, 2016, at 3:00 pm. Pastor Todd Frusti will officiate with cremation to follow. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, December 16, 2016, from 11:00 am to 9:00 pm, and again, on Saturday from 11:00 am until the time of service at 3:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the family for animal rescue. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Gay was born November 1, 1957, in Flint, Michigan, to Mr. & Mrs. Merle and Maraline (Getcy) Foster. She graduated from Kearsley High School with the class of 1975. Gay worked for General Motors as skilled trades. She retired from General Motors. Gay was an avid animal lover. She spent much of her time and money dedicated to animal rescue. Gay was generous, strong willed, and loving. She will be greatly missed. Left to cherish her memory are her three children: Michael (Mylona) Leet, Joseph Stone (Nicole Clark), Johnathan Stone; step children: Joshua Maupin, Joshua (Stephanie) Girard, Amber (Eric) Hyde, Gregory (Brittany) Girard; Fiancé, Lawrance Girard; father, Merle Foster; grandchildren: Deanna, Michael Scott, Alysa, Sydney, Akenna, Uyya, Josh Jr., Aamaa, Joshua, Rayvan, Luna, Kiersten; brother and sisters: Cheryl Lorenz (Craig Almassy), Mary Jo (Jason) Biddle, and Frank (Vickie) Foster; many nieces, nephews and friends. Gay was preceded in death by her mother, Maraline and brother, John Foster.
